After a week of missing the daily 7am boat from Phuket to Phi Phi, I decided to stay in Phi Phi for a few days to get some diving in. Princess divers was a fun group of divers to hang with, so check them out when you’re on the island.
I was in Thailand solo for a month during the Coronavirus outbreak in Feb/Mar 2020. China had a lockdown going on and the crowds were smaller than normal.
I ran video and shot some pictures throughout my travels in Thailand. Flying into Bangkok from Philippines, I met up with Rocky and took the hour taxi ride to Pattaya to grab some gear.
Wat Pho, or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is the oldest and largest Buddhist temple in Bangkok. It is home to more Buddha images than any other Bangkok temple and it shelters the largest Buddha in Thailand.
After meeting a few people on Koh Tao Thailand at the dive shops and pubs, I had to check out the Muay Thai training camp there.
The Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya is also famous for its weekly Beach Foam-X Party that takes place at its own 2,000 sqare meter free-form pool with its man-made sandy beach. The Beach Club also houses a contemporary tropical spa and a gym.

The best dive site in all of the Gulf Of Thailand is undoubtedly Chumphon Pinnacle, a lozenge shaped rock that begins at about 16 meters and goes down to 30 metres.
