So I am off for another tour in Iraq. This is my 4th tour now. I have a couple friends that have stayed over there since 2004/2005 timeframes. That’s insane! Those guys are pretty dedicated to stay over there and sacrifice alot of their personal lives to be there that long. I guess I would rather be in Iraq than Afghanistan. Afghanistan is pretty sketchy now. Maybe in a year or so I can hit Afghan back up.

So the goal now is to go for a year and then check and see what I want to do. No more yearly+ planning when it comes to contracting. I’m getting burned out. Too many assholes to deal with on the leadership and work level. I guess that’s everywhere you go though.

I was in Tampa heading to St. Pete beach and shoot some video along the way. Caught up with Rob and the crew at Jimmy B’s.

A much needed face-lift has been done as you may have noticed already. A kickass logo and banner has been designed by a good friend of mine Robert La Follette. I really needed some kind of identity to represent my site, videos and pictures. This is something I should have done years ago.

Robert is a highly acclaimed graphic designer and has worked in many industries as a production and graphic designer as well as a creative director. Working in such projects, in both web and print design, for such organizations as The Office of the President of the United States, The US House of Representatives, Department of Education, State of Florida, and many more government and federal agencies, Robert’s design work has set new standards in the industry.

This dude got so tired of taking the car to the mall, he took his plane. I just happened to be in the area when he made his emergency landing! Plan crash St. Petersburg Florida….

With no big plans for my birthday, I wanted to hang out with Rob and a couple friends at Jimmy B’s Beach Bar in St. Pete Florida.

So after cruising around Thailand and Philippines for a couple months, I finally made it back home to Clearwater Florida to hang out with some friends to hear Rob jammin at Crabby Bills. I should be in town for another week or so then back to work (hopefully)…… I miss “the island” already.

I ran video and shot some pictures throughout my travels in Thailand. Flying into Bangkok from Philippines, I met up with Rocky and took the hour taxi ride to Pattaya to grab some gear. Back to Bangkok and a flight to Phuket started everything off. With no set plans, everything was setup thru facebook and text messages with very last minute planning. Being in Thailand made it so easy to not even have a schedule.Bad storms prevented us from getting any diving done or any tourist stuff happening.

From Patong Beach in Phuket, we took off to Koh Samui in a 4 hour taxi ride across the country. During the travels, we stopped by 7-11 for some drinks and snacks, I grabbed a hot dog and some Gatorade and something for the taxi man. No big deal right? That hog dog got my ass sick for a solid 24 hours. So I’m in Koh Samui ejecting hot dog from both ends of my body 10 minutes after check in. Shit. 11am we are on another fast boat to Koh Tao.

I was invited to check out a different part of the island I never thought about. The schools and kids. It was their graduation day and they had some songs for their families and friends.
