Snakes in Afghanistan

These pictures were send in from Bagram Afghanistan. Some people left some food out overnight and had a surprise in the morning when they came into work.

Chad, what kind of snake is that?

I have no idea. I was thinking it was a cobra, but might I might be wrong. Pretty sketchy to walk into work and see that in the doorway.

WOW! I can’t believe I found these pics in a Google search. Sometime near the end of 2010, I worked in the building across from this sucker when he was caught. I can confirm it was a cobra.

That spider looks like a wind scorpion or camel spider. They are really interesting critters. Very fast!
