I have been strangely fascinated by the rest of the world since a very early age. Nearly visiting every US state before graduating from high school, it wasn’t until joining the Army that I really ventured off of the North American continent for the first time. That was all it took to inspire the insatiable wanderlust that now drives me to new destinations across the globe.

Years End 09

I cant believe 2009 is coming to an end. Time has flown by. I had a couple vacations to the Philippines to hang out in Boracay and did a good job at keeping a low profile while at work finally. My faithful dog of 10 years passed away and my family celebrated his life and brought in a new dog for my nephew to grow up with.

With the new year coming up, I have a couple new job opportunities I am checking out, with a possible relocation to Afghanistan to support that mission for a couple years. I keep checking out the job situation back home and it sucks. So I will stick this out for a while and work in the middle east until I can save enough cash.

Hopefully I can help get a couple friends working over here so we can start saving for a future business venture. That’s still a few years away before we can even talk about that.

It looks I will be celebrating Christmas / New Years in Baghdad. I will be passing thru the area in route for my next vacation / possible job change in Jan.
