I figured I would answer some questions I get all the time from random visitors or long time friends.

Q: Why a blog?
A: Why not? Ok seriously, I don’t like the original way that joomla (my website engine) works on articles posted. I like the wordpress kinda layout. Simple and looks good and less confusing to me.

Q: How come your girlfriend’s picture is not on your website?
A: Sometimes I post pictures of a current girlfriend. But who would want to admit they are with me? Seriously? ha

Q: Where is Rocky at? Where is Gaz at? Where is JD at? Where are you at?
A: Rocky is in China teaching English. Go figure. Gaz is in Philippines getting married to Sai. Not sure what his plans are. JD is in Boracay living life. Go see him here. Me? I’m back in Iraq making some money.

Q: When are you going back to the U.S. and work a boring ass job and pay tons of taxes and have a shitty life?
A: No plans to ever work in the U.S.

Q: What are you going to do with your life?
A: Work where they pay me the most. Go diving as much as I can. Live life. Be an asshole from time to time.

Favorite Drink: Red Bull and vodka. It seems like every time I drink Red Bull and vodka, my night slowly decays into the famous blackout drive, and I wake up in jail without my shoe laces again.

Favorite Saying: “Why are you still here?” , “500 pesos and breakfast?”

Favorite Word(s): Open Bar

Turn-offs: Ugly women, excessively fat women, women who snort when eating, stupid people, people scared to take chances, and corporate work types that have over-inflated egos.

It helps to have a military background and a security clearance to get on board alot of contractors these days. Alot of us got picked up when they were mass hiring back in the day. Over the years I have got to meet other contractors from different companies in theater and on vacations. Most say the same thing. (Background and clearance helps put your resume ahead.)

It does help to know people in higher places in the companies. Sometimes the employee referral program works for different contractors. I have been putting in for different contractors myself and have not had much luck. Afghanistan is mass hiring on Fluor and DynCorp. They just took over Afghanistan contracting big time with huge budgets. I am going to mass apply to these too.

What is the secret to get an overseas job? I have applied with KBR, Fluor and Honeywell. Really dont care what it is as long as it pays great and tax free. You guys must know something I dont or someone I dont, any suggestions? I heard you have to get a referral to get hired, is that how it works?

Your time is appreciated if you can let me know how to get a job.
